Annual Joint Discussions on Comparable Estimates of State Domestic Product (SDP) For FY 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 on New Base Year 2022-23 between the Officers of the DES of the States/UTs and National Accounts Division, NSO, MoSPI

Posted On: 19 MAY 2026 5:22PM by PIB Delhi The National Accounts Division, National Statistics Office, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, organizes Annual Joint Discussions on Comparable Estimates of State Domestic Product (SDP) Estimates every year between officials of the National Accounts Division (NAD) and the Directorates of Economics & Statistics (DESs) of States/UTs. The discussions aim to reconcile differences in SDP estimates compiled independently by the States/UTs and NAD, NSO. This year, the joint discussions between officers of NAD and DESs of various States/UTs are scheduled from 20 th May,2026 to 19 th June, 2026 at Khurshid Lal Bhawan, MoSPI, New Delhi. This exercise will be conducted separately in four weeks covering a group of States/UTs in each week with three days duration. The first round of discussions will be held from 20 th to 22 nd May, 2026, the second round from 03 rd to 05 th June, 2026, the third round from 10 th to 12 th June, 2026, and the last or fourth round from 17 th to 19 th June, 2026. The discussions will focus on current price GSDP estimates for the years 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25 based on the revised base year 2022-23. Sectoral groups will deliberate on the revised methodologies and data sources adopted for compilation of GSDP estimates in close coordination with the concerned State/UT officials. Senior officers of the respective DESs will also participate during the concluding sessions for finalization of decisions on suggested revisions.
