Posted On: 24 MAR 2026 7:59PM by PIB Delhi A National-Level CSR Conclave on the theme “Empowering Tribals through CSR and Pledging Partnership for Tribal Upliftment” on 24th March 2026 at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi was organised by Ministry of Tribal Affairs. It was graced by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Shri Jual Oram and the Hon’ble Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey in the presence of Smt. Ranjana Chopra, Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and leading private companies. Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Shri Jual Oram in his inaugural address stressed the need for focused interventions under CSR in tribal areas. He pointed out that the tribal areas are rich in natural resources which are being used for nation building and the companies thus have a special obligation to give back to these communities. Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey in his address congratulated all companies for their interventions and initiatives targeting tribal populations. He further assured all support of the Ministry in implementing such projects. The Union Minister of Tribal Affairs also launched a program for training “Solar Entrepreneurs” in collaboration with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy to align tribal skill development with future-ready green jobs. Under this collaboration, a 9-day residential training program is specifically designed with support from Tata Power Skill Development Institute, to equip tribal youth with practical, job-ready skills in the solar sector as Solar PV Helpers/Assistant Technician Program. The Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Smt. Ranjana Chopra underscored the Government of India’s continued commitment to the holistic development and empowerment of tribal communities across the country. Addressing the gathering, she emphasized the importance of Corporate Social Responsibilities, noting that focused interventions under various flagship initiatives are yielding positive outcomes at the grassroots level. Highlighting the role of convergence and community participation, Smt. Chopra stated that sustained efforts are being made to ensure inclusive growth, improved access to opportunities, and enhanced socio-economic indicators among tribal populations. She said the Ministry remains committed to strengthening implementation mechanisms and scaling up successful models to further accelerate tribal development in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi . During the event, Ministry recognised the contribution of various organisations which have taken up projects for tribal communities. Over 100 participants from more than 50 public sector and private companies attended the event and shared insights on impactful projects in areas such as digital inclusion, sustainable livelihoods, forest-based economies, and women empowerment among tribal populations. The deliberations during the technical and interactive sessions dwelled upon possible ways to bring sectoral expertise, innovation, and professional management under CSR initiatives to address gaps that may not be covered under conventional government frameworks. Through this CSR Conclave, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs reiterated its commitment to realizing Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat by fostering multi-stakeholder collaborations and leveraging partnerships as a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable tribal development and called upon to collectively ensure that growth is not only rapid, but also equitable, participatory, and deeply rooted in the principles of social justice. ****** RN/ (Release ID: 2244696) Visitor Counter : 540 Read this release in: Urdu , हिन्दी Ministry of Tribal Affairs Ministry of Tribal Affairs Organizes a National-Level CSR Conclave on “Empowering Tribals through CSR and Pledging Partnership for Tribal Upliftment” Posted On: 24 MAR 2026 7:59PM by PIB Delhi A National-Level CSR Conclave on the theme “Empowering Tribals through CSR and Pledging Partnership for Tribal Upliftment” on 24th March 2026 at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi was organised by Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
