Vice-President inaugurates Golden Jubilee Building of Modern School, Vasant Vihar

P. Radhakrishnan, today inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Building of Modern School, Vasant Vihar, marking 50 years of the institution’s distinguished contribution to education. Congratulating the school on completing five decades of educational excellence, the Vice-President described the milestone as a remarkable achievement, reflecting sustained dedication to learning, character building, and nurturing generations of young minds. Emphasizing the importance of early education, he remarked that while it is important to “catch them young,” it is even more crucial to shape them into responsible and capable individuals. He noted that good individuals build a good society, and a good society, in turn, builds a great nation. The Vice-President appreciated the contributions made by alumni, including those associated with JK Cement, towards the construction of the new building. He highlighted the importance of acknowledging and encouraging acts of generosity and social contribution to foster a culture of collective progress. Highlighting the role of education in nation-building, the Vice-President underlined that institutions like Modern School play a pivotal role in shaping the India of tomorrow. Referring to the national vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047 , he stated that the goal of becoming a developed nation is rooted in the aspiration for self-reliance and dignity, ensuring that India is not dictated to by others. He emphasized the need for inclusive development across all regions and communities, noting the rapid infrastructure growth in the North-Eastern region as an example of balanced progress. Underscoring the vital role of educators, the Vice-President stated that teachers are instrumental in shaping the character and confidence of students, and that their contribution to society is invaluable. He commended the dedication and efforts of the school’s teachers and staff, describing them as the foundation of the institution’s success.
