(b) As informed by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), as on 28.02.2026, a total of 1,17,928 food businesses holds FSSAI license/ registration certificate under manufacturer category for milk and milk products. (c) The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has prescribed validated methods for detection of common adulterants in its Manual of Methods of Analysis of Dairy and Dairy Products on 07.10.2022. List of methods given the Manual of Methods of Analysis-Dairy and Dairy Products is enclosed at Annexure-III .
