Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students

Posted On: 02 APR 2026 3:57PM by PIB Delhi Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey today informed Lok Sabha that the details of Fund allocated and utilized for the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST students in the country, including the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu is provided in Annexure I . The Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST students is an open ended Centrally Sponsored Scheme implemented through States/UTs. The Central Share fund is released based on the demand/proposal submitted by the respective States/UTs along with other requisite documents/compliance under the scheme. Also, beneficiaries in a particular financial year may include beneficiaries of previous Academic year also. Overall, there is no stagnation in the number of beneficiaries over the years. The Ministry is creating awareness about scholarship Schemes through publication in its official Portal, advertisement in News Papers, through State/UT administration, Universities & Institutions.
