Posted On: 01 APR 2026 2:38PM by PIB Delhi As per latest data published by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) pertaining to the year 2023; State-wise/ UT-wise and year-wise total number of cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 during 2019-2023 is at Annexure-I The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Act, 2014 has been brought into force across India with effect from 1 st May, 2014 vide notification dated 30.04.2014.
