This week, in story-arcs

04–10 May 2026

PIB published 212 releases this week · we curated 33 into 33 arcs.
Editor's note — Aditya Tiwari Sir

Two arcs framed the week. The Cabinet of 5 May was a single dense morning — Cotton Productivity Mission, sugarcane FRP, ECLGS 5.0, the Vadinar ship-repair yard, two more ISM semiconductor units, 901 km of railway multitracking and four extra Supreme Court judges all cleared in one sitting — so read it as a budget-grade clearance day, not seven small items. The second arc was strategic-tech proof: in 72 hours DRDO logged a TARA glide-kit maiden trial, a MIRV-capable Agni flight, and a 1,200-second scramjet combustor run, while a new CDS and Navy Chief were named. Watch the West Asia briefings — they recurred every working day (4, 6, 8 May) and quietly carry ECLGS 5.0's airline rationale and the Natural Gas & Petroleum Products Pipelines Order, 2026. On the rescue shelf, do not skip the two backgrounders the daily never published: India's pension architecture and the National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture — both are exam-gold concept notes. The cooperative, labour-code and Aspirational-Districts entities recurred across days without ever winning a daily slot — they are the value a daily-only reader missed this week.
