The eighth edition of the Indian Navy–US Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal exercise begins at Southern Naval Command, Kochi — a specialist strand of a salvage and EOD partnership running since 2005.
What happened
- The Indian Navy–US Navy EOD Exercise 2026 runs 10 to 14 August at Southern Naval Command, Kochi.
- It is the eighth edition of this specialised bilateral exercise.
- The two navies have held joint salvage and EOD exercises since 2005.
- It comprises Subject Matter Expert Exchanges, cross-training and equipment demonstrations.
- The stated aim is interoperability between the two navies' specialist diving and EOD teams.
