Param Pragya switches on at IIT Delhi

The Prime Minister inaugurated an AI-based high-performance supercomputing and project cluster facility at IIT Delhi's 57th convocation, naming AI, data centres, critical minerals, deep-sea exploration and quantum computing as the frontiers he expects graduates to work on.

What happened

For UPSC: A compact anchor for research infrastructure. Use it for high-performance computing and the National Supercomputing Mission, AI compute as strategic capacity, and the frontier-technology missions the government has grouped together.
What it is NOT: Param Pragya is an institutional research cluster, not a national supercomputing ranking entry — no performance figures were released, and the Param name denotes a series, not a single machine.
