India's hydrogen train: 3,200 litres of diesel replaced by water vapour

India's first hydrogen train, flagged off between Jind and Sonipat on 17 July, has run over 1,200 km — saving more than 3,200 litres of diesel and emitting only water vapour — as Indian Railways builds an indigenous, zero-emission hydrogen rail ecosystem.
