What happened
- The Indian Coast Guard rescued 170 stranded people across Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and south Gujarat.
- It ran 11 rescue operations since the midnight of 22 July 2026 amid severe flooding.
- In one mission, 60 people were evacuated from the Welspun Industrial Area; two helicopters airlifted 33 from Mendar (Navsari).
- Rescues included a nine-months-pregnant woman and people needing urgent medical care.
