The DRDO successfully conducted the first flight-test of 'Kusha', an indigenous Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile, off the Odisha coast — intercepting a simulated high-speed, high-altitude target — as India builds a home-grown, multi-layered air-defence shield to rival systems like Russia's S-400.
