What happened

For Prelims

For UPSC: A diplomacy item — a first-ever presidential visit expanding India's engagement with Eastern Europe. Use it for India's diversified foreign policy and outreach to smaller/Eastern European states, the role of the President in diplomacy (state visits), and the India-EU/neighbourhood-of-Europe context.
What it is NOT: This is a state visit (relationship-building, with a business forum), not a treaty or an alliance. Outcomes typically take the form of MoUs and enhanced cooperation, developed over time.
