What happened
- APEDA facilitated the first export of premium Areko cherries and Scentrose plums from J&K to Singapore.
- The fruit came from Shopian and Pulwama; the shipment was flagged off on 16 July 2026 with private exporters.
- It follows earlier J&K cherry/plum exports to the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai).
- It expands the global footprint of Kashmir's premium temperate fruits.
