The 29th National Conference on e-Governance opens in Jaipur on a theme of 'AI-enabled, data-driven and secure digital governance' for Viksit Bharat 2047 — and will hand out the National e-Governance Awards 2026 to 17 initiatives.
What happened
- The Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), with the Government of Rajasthan, are organising the 29th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) 2026 on 1-2 July 2026 in Jaipur.
- The theme is 'Viksit Bharat 2047: AI-enabled, Data-driven & Secure Digital Governance.'
- It will be inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
- The National Awards for e-Governance 2026 will be conferred on 17 exemplary initiatives — 10 gold, 6 silver and 1 jury award across seven categories — to Central, State/UT, District, Gram Panchayat and academic/research bodies, presented by MoS Dr Jitendra Singh.
- The conference convenes policymakers and practitioners to advance citizen-centric, technology-led governance.
