The Housing Ministry sanctioned more than 42,000 houses under PMAY-Urban 2.0 in Madhya Pradesh with Rs 1,050 crore subsidy, as 38,000 families moved into completed homes — advancing the 'Housing for All' goal for the urban poor.
What happened
- At a programme in Sanwer, Indore district, the Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs led an event benefiting over 80,000 families in Madhya Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U).
- Under PMAY-U 2.0, sanction letters were issued to over 42,000 eligible beneficiaries with Rs 1,050 crore of Government subsidy.
- Additionally, 38,000 families performed 'grih pravesh' of newly constructed pucca houses across districts of Madhya Pradesh.
